Fastewhat? Issue #3 is online

It is with great pride that we announce that the third issue of Enfants Terribles Magazine is now online.

This time we introduce you to the Nordic traditional celebration of Fastelavn, the nordic carnivale. You'll find inspirations for costumes, delicious pastry and  DIY's in the name of this Scandinavian take on Halloween.

Furthermore we added a whole section of featured profiles that we call: The Enfants Terribles Creative Crushes. We've picked out our favorite home, blog, artist, crafter and Instagram profile. These people were instant crushes for us and that is why we look forward to sharing them with you.

Countdown & Cover Issue 3

Dancing Dragons Breathing Fire

Sounds like a the title of an exciting legend right? Why not make one up for yourselves? Eternally inspired by pinterest, we created some firebreathing dragons for the the teaparty in the orangerie.

The dragon dancing is tradition within the celebration of Chinese New Year, and is all about scaring away the bad spirits. The dragons are also symbols of good fortune and luck and represents potent and auspicious powers.

Dancing for luck sounds like fun to us and we thought it might be a fun project for the winterbreak, so we found this DIY to help you out - and all you need to get going really is some toiletpaper rolls, colourful feathers, some bright tissue paper and a little paint. They were so easy to make and the kids have enjoyed playing with them ever since the shoot. Now it's time for some dragondancing - Go play!

ETM @ CIFF kids A/W 2014-15

Last Friday was an exciting day for Enfants Terribles Magazine as we were invited to join CIFF KIDS, one of the largest children’s fashion fairs in Europe.

It was our first fashionevent going together and as a magazine, which gave us a new perspective on the experience. It felt a little like being on a treasurehunt, looking for gems and jewels to put in our little treasurechests, to share with you later on in our storybook magazine. 

We were fortunate to have good seats with a great view of the two main shows at CIFF KIDS this Friday, the Petit by Sofie Schnoor and the Ticket Outdoor show. It was very thrilling to get a sneakpeak of their two very different takes on AW14. And the kids, oh boy did they melt some hearts, strutting their stuff on the runway with just the right mix of attitude and cuteness, while counting the music and steps oh so quietly.

The Petit by Sofie Schnoor AW14 collection had a somewhat grungy skaterboy feeling to it, keeping colours in a grey/black/burgundy tone. We loved the mix of rough and frilly in the layerings and our favorite pieces were the snowleopard woollen sweaters. The mix of stich and padded vests, skinny jeans, beanies, oversized sweaters with mock leather patches, fingerless gloves and Doc Martens added that 90s Seattle feeling and made us feel quite nostalgic.

The Ticket Outdoor show was full of colour and new prints. We particularly liked the watercolour like prints and the snowsuits for tweens/teens. The latter had a cool 80s feel in the cut and colour and we actually wish they came our size, especially since heavy snow was covering Copenhagen in white ice!

All in all we had such a great day, met a ton of nice people, saw so many wonderful styles and started dreaming big, maybe due to the amount of colorful cocktail slurpees served at the late afternoon mixer hosted by Cover Kids.

We fell head over heels in love with the new Danish shoebrand Rainbow and Snow and we can hardly wait to feature them in future editorials. There were so many delightful colours and twists on the classic childrens shoes. We think they will please you very much too!

The 2nd collection from Little Empire Cph was full of deliciously different details and cuts, very refreshing!

Happy Lunar New Year Give Away

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR OF THE GREEN WOODEN HORSE

As you know for this 2nd issue of Enfants Terribles Magazine we endeavoured into the visually, immensely inspiring, traditonal Chinese celebration of the lunar new year - also referred to as The Spring Festival or Chinese New Year. 

We gave loose to our inner child and set of in a marvellous hunt for colour and adventure around the city of Copenhagen. We we're looking for signs of East Asian culture in all the places we could think of. With the girls in hand, we visited restaurants, shops, museums and supermarkets to discover and learn. The result of our travel is for you to discover in this issue. We're telling the tale of childplay, treasurehunt and travel all within our own city and you can do it too. At least we hope that this issue made you want to!

We're celebrating the beginning of this new year with a wonderful giveaway!  The good people of Pierrot la Lune and Den Kinesiske Butik have sponsored a little partypack of a marvellous paperbutterfly and a beautiful girls dress size 6-8.

We did it! Issue #2 of the Enfants Terribles Magazine is up and ready for you to see.

We're so excited, hyped on coffee and totally ready to go conquer the world... tomorrow. Now it's cleaning up the messy house time - magazine making comes with a price;-)
